Sovereign Sports was established in 1985 in a suburb of Huddersfield,
West Yorkshire, known as Marsh. Although we are a smaller Independent
Retail Sports shop we do supply numerous Clubs, Schools and Local Authorities
with Sportswear and Equipment to quite a large area outside of Huddersfield
We specialise in Football Team Kits and are Officially Appointed Agents for PRO-STAR Team wear and PUMA Team wear. We also supply Training Balls through to Match balls by MITRE and PUMA in sizes 3, 4 & 5. We keep in stock Goal Nets, Corner Posts and Flags, Inflator Pumps, First Aid Kits, Drinks Bottles, Whistles, Marker Cones, Training Ladders etc, as well as Training Bibs (Junior & Senior) All at Special Club Prices.
With over 20 years experience in supplying Clubs as far North as Rannoch in Scotland and as far South as Penzance in Cornwall we also offer a First Class Printing Service for Sponsors Names, Logo, Badges etc, in up to 5 Colours, plus our own “In-House” Embroidery Service for customisation of garments as required.
We are Official Appointed Stockists of THOMAS TAYLOR, HENSELITE and METROLUX Bowls. Both for Crown Green and Lawn Bowls, and carry a large stock of Bowling Accessories including Bags, Measures, Bowls mats etc.
We are Official Appointed Stockists of BROOKS Running Shoes and Clothing, and carry stocks of Road Running Shoes, Off Road Shoes and Track Spikes.
We also keep a good stock of the ZOGGS range of Float suits and Sun-Protection Suits.
About the Owner
Sovereign Sports is owned and run by the Proprietor Paul Sturgeon.
A keen local Amateur Footballer for the last 40 years in Open Age and
Veteran Leagues and still plays competitive 5-A-Side and 11-A-Side Football
despite being nearly 60 years young.
Paul has run his own Open Age Football Team for the last 20 years under the name of Sovereign Sports AFC. The team are currently riding high at the top of Division One in the local Huddersfield District AFL.
Paul is also a keen Road and Off Road Runner, having run 8 Full Marathons and over a dozen Half Marathons and numerous Fell Races including the Three Peaks Race in the Yorkshire Dales.
His Product knowledge is of the highest order, and he takes pride in making sure his customers receive his full attention and always aims to give 100% Customer Satisfaction.
